Blank decorative pots in inventory gain patterns after crafting a patterned pot

I had a blank decorative pot in my inventory, and when I crafted another pot using shards, the old pot gained the texture of the decorative pot.

The only way to return it to its blank texture is to restart the game. Reloading textures using F3+T doesn't work.
