Suspicious Sand gives wrong amount of items

The Issue

When i was testing with the new susicious sand i saw that you can modify the amount of items coming out of the sand with the /data modify block command. I tested it and it gave a random amount of items every time, but not the amount i had set with the command.

 

How to reproduce the issue:

1. First place the suspicious sand somewhere in a minecraft world, remember the coordinates.
2. Run this command in game: /data modify block coordinates of the suspicious sand item set value
   Unknown macro: {id}

   . Replace the green words

3. Brush the suspicious sand with a brush and check the amount of blocks
