Java Edition not launching :(

So I recently downloaded the Java and Bedrock Bundle and was really excited to play it! Bedrock edition launched up perfectly fine but whenever I try to run up Java edition, it would do a loading screen at the bottom saying "Preparing". After it reaches to the end, the launcher closes and then my computer starts to lag. I waited for like 10 minutes but nothing happened. Eventually my computer got stuck and I had to force shut down. I was so sad. I eventually found out I had no JAVA installed so I downloaded Java Runtime with JDK 17 but it still won't run. Mojang please respond, I really want to play Minecraft: Java Edition
