Versions of MC below Version 1.19 Don't Work

Every time I would try to play a version of Minecraft that is below version 1.19 it would come up as an error. I have tried everything to fix this error but with no success. I have tried deleting java, and Minecraft. I have also tried installing new java but none of these worked.
