Unable to "/kill" a player viewing the End Poem

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Start server
2) Enter End Portal for End Poem
3) Use console to "/kill" the player
4) Console outputs "Killed Shuddery" but after viewing the credits or skipping them, they are still alive
