Every skin is steve

So this bug has happened to me and I still haven't found a fix. Every skin I look at is a Steve or an Alex, even my skin is a Steve. I have tried un installing the game and tried so many things but it wont work. The affected version only will let me put 1.19.2 but it affects every version .Please help me fix it .
