Multishot Crossbows fire projectile's backwards

Firing a crossbow enchanted with multishot will fire the projectile in the center normally, however the projectiles to the left and right will have opposite velocity and go backwards behind the player. Using fireworks with a multishot crossbow causes the player to take explosive damage if aiming up or a wall is behind them, rendering the enchantment currently useless and dangerous.
