minecraft.killed_by:minecraft.lightning_bolt doesn't increase when killed by lightning bolt

The Bug:

minecraft.killed_by:minecraft.lightning_bolt doesn't increase when killed by lightning bolt.

Steps to Reproduce:

• Create a scoreboard objective for tracking being killed by lightning bolts and set it to display on the sidebar.

• /scoreboard objectives add Struck minecraft.killed_by:minecraft.lightning_bolt

• /scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar Struck

• Set the gamerule doFireTick to false to make sure the bolt won't create fire, making the player die to fire damage instead of bolt damage.

• /gamerule doFireTick false

• Make sure the gamemode is survival or adventure and get struck by lightning bolts till death.

• /summon lightning_bolt

• After being killed by the bolt, check if the score increased.

 

Observed Behavior:

The scoreboard doesn't increase.

Expected Behavior:

The scoreboard would increase.
