Server console spam: [SEVERE] Reached end of stream for...

This bug began happening with the update to 1.6

My server console is spammed every few minutes with the following line:
[SEVERE] Reached end of stream for /xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (x's = an actual IP of course)

I've done some looking around online and it appears that i'm not the only one. My guess (along with a few others i've seen post on forums and what-not) is that these errors are because of multiplayer server index websites pinging for player information, etc. So it may just be something that server indexes have to update the way they perform these pings but it might also be something that can be fixed on Mojang's end (especially considering that it just started happening with the 1.6 update) which is why i figured i'd submit a bug report happy debugging ;P
