Launcher Will Not Let me join 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 servers

Will not let me join any multiplayer servers using 1.6 updates. Just says can not reach server too all servers. When I go back to my 1.5.2 .minecraft it shows all the servers open but on the 1.6.2/1.6.1 .minecraft it shows that it is closed and "can not reach server".
