Horse breeding does not function

Horse breeding does not function. When a horse is fed a golden apple, it enters love mode. However when joined with another horse that is also in love mode, the do not interact. Thus giving the impression that horse breeding does not function which is a feature I believe should be fixed and is very important to 1.6 and the game.
