Skin Issues in older Minecraft Versions!?!

{i tried putting in the right version but it didnt let me^}

So basically, this glitch makes it so that my skin, specifically its old version made for old Minecraft before 1.8, shows up as Steve anyways! My skin has the Steve model, classic file type, and has matching arms and legs. I really like playing old Minecraft for nostalgic reasons, but i think we can all agree Alex is just way better than Steve, and even if i can't be Alex, i want to use my skin! please fix the "not very bountiful skin glitch" btw i set this to private so people don't steal my skin lol. and the screenshot was in Minecraft beta obviously, so u know it's not a 1.19.2 screenshot or something. I even tried a skin form 2012 and it didn't work so please fix this!
