Arrows and tridents can't hit the sugar cane and get stuck on it.
This is a feature that was lost in version Beta 1.5_01 ~ Beta 1.6.

Reason:

1. The update log does not mention.

2. The original setting of sugar cane is a solid block, the original name is reed, but it can be penetrated by living creatures. (See MC-929)
