Connection Timed Out: No Further Information

So i bought pc gamepass in order to play Minecraft Java with my brother and when I load into the game and press multiplayer his world appears their and whenever I try to join it gives me the same message every time "connection timed out no further information. I restarted my game and used youtube tutorials to try to fix the issue but nothing works. He even tried to join me and it does the same thing for him. Please help
