An operator can kick a host, but I don't know why.

Reproduce:

1. Create a world, or open an existing one.
2. Click Open to LAN, make sure that Allow Cheats is ON.
3. Type the command below.

/kick <LanHost>
// LanHost means the host of a LAN world.
