Multiplayer Authentication Issue

Within the multiplayer setting, a message pops up when I try to join any server quoting "Failed to log in: The authentication servers are currently not reachable. Please try again." This occurs on multiple computers and even after re-installing and updating occur again. In the multiplayer home screen, the server versions are in red, even though my version matches the reqs.
