Missing pack.mcmeta and no sound in-game

My texture pack, the vanilla default one, says Missing pack.mcmeta and that causes my game to not have any sounds at all and the usual minecraft window logo is replaced by 3 blue dots with a white background, already tried reloading my RP, and also tried changing resource pack but that also seem to not work. This happens to me on every version so far.
