Entities randomly disappear, rarely

Hosting a server with about 3-5 players consistently on. We have this weird problem where entities randomly despawn after a while, rarely and inconsistently. I have not been able to catch the instances where this happens on my server logs, but so far, sheep and axolotls have disappeared.
