Java edition invisible bedrock

What I expected to happen was...:
an air block

What actually happened was...:
I got a block which was invisible. I could mine and walk through it and f3 shows nothing about the block. When I use /fill on it it shows I have filled a block. It is unmovable with pistons. Reloading chunk doesn't work, rejoining world or restarting client doesn't work. Not a ghost block or a barrier.

Steps to Reproduce:
I am not sure how exactly the bug was triggered but here is what I thought happened: I copied a schematic of an iron farm I was working on in creative mode, 1.18.2 using the litematica mod. After that, I pasted it above the build but for some reason, the block that should be a upward-facing piston was not copied. I then tried placing a block in its location and nothing happened. I saved the block in a schematic file and then loaded it in a different location in the same world. The results were the same.
