Allay item duplication with Nether portal

What I expected to happen was...:
That the Allay can not duplicate items.

What actually happened was...:
The Allay duplicates any item.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get an Allay to hold any item you like. Example: Shulker box, etc.
2. Create a nether portal  and activate it with two observers facing each other with a noteblock right on the edge of the nether portal.
3. Make sure the allay is on the other side of the portal & get the same item you want to dupe that the Allay is now holding and throw the item at the edge of the nether portal next to the note block and wait for the Allay to pick it up while it goes through the portal at the same time.
4. Go through the portal and receive the duplicate item.
