Microsoft login error

I have not played Minecraft since Microsoft accounts were mandatory, but when I go to sign in to my account I get a note saying "this user has already purchased Minecraft", and won't let me play or log in. I used the same Microsoft account as an alternative account when I used to play on Xbox, but it was never purchased on that account.
