Minecraft Character Keeps Moving Even If I Take my Hands of the Keyboard

So this happened since like a month ago. Whenever I am moving around and wanted to stop so I take my hands of the keyboard, however, it keeps moving for like 7 seconds then it stops. It has been really annoying to play ever since. Is there any way to fix this bug so I can finally play peacefully again?
