Bees stuck in front of their beehive or bee nest

When exiting the beehive/bee nest after the night, bees will be stuck in the block directly in front of the beehive entrance. As far as I know, up to three bees can be stuck in the same block. They only begin searching for flowers after pushing them out of the block.
