Sound in Minecraft cuts out when on a discord call

When I am on a discord voice call sound in Minecraft cuts out. Sound for everything else on my computer works. It is only Minecraft that cuts out.

What I expected to happen was...:
Hearing both Minecraft and discord call

What actually happened was...:{}

Only the Discord call works, no sound from Minecraft.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open minecraft
2. Start a discord call
