Bug on minecraft version 1.6.2

Started game, then when it was telling me what the controls were it crashed.
What I expected to happen was...:
It would normally let me play the game.
What actually happened was...:
It crashed and the game was closed.

Steps to Reproduce:-----?
1. What I think happened was on the settings something with the controls messed up and on that page everything said: BUTTON 1 in red.
Ex. Forwards: BUTTON 1 but it would normally say: Forwards: W
