minecraft pocket edition— it doesn't let me join my friends worlds, it continues to say "unable to connect to world." i feel like my minecraft is the issue.

i've tried multiple times to fix whatever is wrong with my minecraft but nothing seems to work. i've tried creating a new microsoft account and deleting minecraft and redone loading it. i am still unable to join my friends servers. what can i do to fix this?
