Putting a space after a selector and before options returns output and options

When running a command like /say or /me with a space, not only are names in creative mode displayed, but the option [gamemode=creative] is as well.

/say @a [gamemode=creative]

Of course this does not happen when the space in between the selector and opening bracket is not there.
