People whit Nyctalopia need to be able to chance gamma setting in 1.19

I have Nyctalopia __ and there for I need to put the gamma setting to 10.  Apparently this is disabled in 1.19. Why?  It is impossible to see anything in nether fortresses and the deep dark now.
