Realm Progress Not Saved/Uploaded

My friends and I were playing on our MC Realm last night for approximately 4 hours. This morning, I sign on to find that the latest save/backup was our previous sessions 3 days prior. Last night's progress was not uploaded to the servers or saved in our backups. I've noticed on other platforms (Reddit) that others are facing a similar issue. Please let me know if Mojang addresses this at some point, as I do not want to play and potentially lose progress again by restoring the lost files.
