Minecraft Java Edition 1.19 crashes while opening world

I'm using a MacBook Air (M1). It's brand new and I just installed Minecraft Java Edition.

When I click the Play button to start playing, the game crashes and I get this error message:

"Game Crashed. An unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience. This crash may be caused by an invalid Java Runtime configuration. Check any custom configuration settings. Exit Code: 1"
