Client-Side Death Message disappears after entering another dimension

When you die inside a portal, when you are teleported (whilst on death screen), the death message disappears.

Steps to Reproduce:

1) Perform the command /setblock ~ ~-2 ~ minecraft:end_portal

2) Place a Dirt block along the same Y axis next to the end portal

3)Use a splash potion of poison to set your health to 0.5 hearts

3) Throw an Ender Pearl at the Dirt block with End Portal infront so that you instantly die before entering the portal

4) You will see no death message on the other side of the portal after you die
