Shift to select text while typing a command or a message doesnt work.

If i want to select text, so i can copy and paste the location of a block, it doesnt work. What i do: type the command, press shift and press the arrow to the right at the same time. This used to select the text i had in my messagebar. Now it just goes with the type line to the right.
