Minecraft world corrupted

So I joined a regular Minecraft world to do what any other Minecraft player would do. Chop down a tree but, for some reason the cows wouldn't move, I couldn't take fall damage, lava wouldn't flow, anything you would break wouldn't drop, and for some reason the weirdest thing my face was replaced by a horrific Steve face. Also, I put 1.18.2 but it was 1.16.5 it's just that it wouldn't let me choose 1.16.5. My usual skin is a duck in the same shirt that my skin was wearing in that world.
