Changing "Use Item" Controls Away From Mouse2 Doesn't Work Properly

My right mouse button hasn't been working, so I switched the "Use Item" control away from mouse2. For some reason this changes what button is used to place blocks/eat food, but NOT what button is used to split stacks of items in half. Basically, there is no way to change the "split stacks" button away from mouse2.
