Eating and dropping the food while the hunger bar is not full makes you walk slow as you were eating

If you are very low on hunger and you try to eat while walking/sprinting, dropping the food out of the inventory and holding right click makes you walk as slow as before, but you don't eat anything. Works the same while holding shield in your hotbar and then dropping it on the ground.
