Warden cannot hit me when im standing 2 blocks higher than it

So, when I spawned the Warden with an egg, I created a pillar (2 blocks tall), and surprise, surprise! it couldn't hit me. please fix this as this can be too op for the players.
The affected version is Experimental Snapshot 1 of the 1.19 update.
