minecraft:end_spike feature does not work when used with /place

The Bug

When using the /place feature command to place this feature, it does not work.

Reproduce

• /place feature minecraft:end_spike ~ ~ ~

Observed Result

The game said it was loaded but nothing appeared.

Expected Result

It would place or give an error message.
