Ocelots spawning in huge numbers

I am playing on a friends server and there is a jungle island there that my second house is on. I travel on and off that chunk frequently and every time i return i notice the abundance of ocelots there, after awhile I began to notice a lag spike when I came close to the island, I checked the F3 menu and knowing there were no dropped items i got a count of over 270 mobs in the T spot of the debug menu. Mostly ocelots from my exploration. I have not been able to replicate the numbers in Single player but I have seen other reports of players with this issue mainly in the snapshots leading up to the 1.6 release. Just thought I should report it in case the issue made it in to the programming somewhere. thanks. attached are some screenshots of the issue.
