There is no way to destroy a bed in adventure mode

This even ocured before 1.6.2 but when I'm in adventure mode, there's no way to destroy the bed by hand (w/ tools), TNT: yes. Adventure mode: No!
This is quite anoying as of I'm playing adventure mode.
