Minecraft Java crashes when enabling in-game Fullscreen mode on M1 macs (Not the Mac’s green coloured maximise button)

Minecraft Java crashes when enabling Fullscreen inside the game’s settings on M1 macs. I am not referring to macOS green maximise button that maximises the window. 

Because of this bug, it is impossible to change resolution of Minecraft in Fullscreen mode for better performance.

This bug existed since 1.17.1 and has yet to be fixed in 1.18.
