Tripwire Duplicates String When Broken

After placing string to make a tripwire using 2 hooks, and then breaking it with water, the tripwire breaks with one extra piece of string effectively allowing me to duplicate string (you will see in the video I placed 3 string and receive 4. This scales with each piece of string added: 2 will produce 3. 3 will produce 4, 5 will produce 6, and so on). It only seems to work with water as I tried breaking it all at once with pistons and it did not produce the same results. If this is a duplicate of another issue I am sorry, i tried my best to find if this had been reported before and as far as I could tell it had not

P.s This also works in 1.17.1 however I couldn't add it to the affected version for some reason
