When ocean monuments spawn on hilly sea floor or a few blocks lower than the sea floor and on other structures, they create weird borders and missing blocks

I found a monument and one of it corners had spawned on a little hill which caused a weird border. I checked multiple seeds and this has occurred a few times. When a shipwreck spawned near it, it removed some of the blocks of the shipwreck, creating a one block gap between the monument and shipwreck and also an illegal fence post.
