Crashes when I enter a multiplayer server

What I expected to happen was I would join the server and be able to play
What actually happened was when I joined the server Minecraft instantly crashed
The server is up to date on its version 1.6.2, and yesterday when it was running 1.6.1 I did not have this problem.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Join server Minetime.com
2. wait 5-6 seconds
3. Crash
