Glitching collisions with boats when walking up stairs

How to reproduce:
Build like in the screenshot. Try to walk against the 1.5 block high openings from both sides.

The block above the slab will stop the player from moving, while the boat will cause the player to glitch into the boat or to step up the stair and immediately be thrown back
