Night Vision does not save when I reload my world in the new pre-releases

On a Creative Mode world I have applied myself Night Vision, and set it to an infinite length of time. However, when I rejoin the world in a new pre-release, the Night Vision effect is gone, and I have to keep re-applying it.

 

How to reproduce:

1. Create a world in a past pre-release of 1.18, it can be any one
2. Use the command /effect give @s night_vision 1000000
3. Upgrade to a new pre-release
4. For me, the effect does not continue when I load my world in a new pre-release, even when it is supposed to be set as infinite, idk if it's just me
