stalactites and stalagmites sometimes generate floating in geodes

 

sometimes in dripstone caves dripstones floating in air when they generate in geode circle

sometimes I see stalactite and stalagmite clusters being generated in a floating condition - without being connected to a base block in amethyst geodes within dripstone caves
