Cornflower removing grass

This is a relatively new world that I was exploring, I looked at a mountain far away and it looked really blue-colored so I went to it, and the grass ( tall grass, and short grass) was removed and replaced with cornflowers. The number of beehives that were there was absurd! I counted 4 in the same chunk.
