Game lags, locks up and then crashes when Autosaving.

The game has a massive slowdown, I'd say probably as much as running at 5 to 10 frames per second during the Autosave, then the application locks up and becomes unresponsive in Windows 10, followed by Windows forcibly closing the application a minute or two later. I've attached a crash report.
