minecraft launcher is not loading minecraft

My minecraft launcher will not work with the latest release and snapshot. It kicks me out and then doesnt open the title screen or open minecraft at all! i dont now what this is, but please help!!!!!                                                                                                                                   P.S. i play on linux.
