Cannot destroy anvils with a sword in Creativve mode

What I expected to happen was...:
The anvil should have been broken

What actually happened was...:
The anvil did not break

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place an anvil in Creative Mode
2. Take a diamond sword and try to break the anvil
3. I used a Sharpness V, Looting III, Fire Aspect II Diamond Sword
